Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American television chef and former Institute of Culinary Education instructor She is also a television personality. She hosts her own Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host with spiky blond locks and a lively personality, explains how to prepare restaurant-style meals in your home with simple techniques. Chef Burrell has worked in some of the top eateries located in New York, studied the culinary landscape and traditions of Italy as well as competed in Food Network's Iron Chef America. As a child in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was inspired by food. Following her graduation with an English and Communication degree in Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her passion for the restaurant business by enrolling at The Culinary Institute of America. I enjoyed every moment during my time at The Culinary Institute of America she declares. Culinary Institute of America was a fantastic place to study. Following graduation, Chef Burrell went on to spend one year in Italy studying at an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and working in La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. The time she spent in Italy helped her to understand and appreciate Italian tradition and philosophy, and has made an impression on her perception of food. Burrell is an ambassador for the celebrity chef of the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation and is a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which assists kids who have challenges. As a speaker, she is on the road to speak about her passion for cuisine and to promote her professional career as a chef. Anne says she was incredibly fortunate that I could be able to share her passion for cooking with the people around her.
