Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thy fighter. She is currently a fighter with the UFC Flyweight division. She is the elder sister of her fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko first began combat sports in the form of a Muay Thai Kickboxer. Shevchenko made her debut in her first IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals with a unanimous vote. Antonina then won a Silver Medal in 2007, a bronze Medal in 2008, a Golden medal in 2011, as the IFMA 2016 Amateure Muay Tha World Champion. Antonia has started her career as a professional in 2003, won in 2012 and the 2016 Lion Fight Lightweight Championships. It was also the WMC World Championships were held in 2016, and she won the 2016 IFMA Amateur Thailand World Champion. Antonina's final fight was with Isa Tidblad-Keskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The winner was with a majority. Antonina Shevchenko made her professional MMA record in 2002 at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan in a fight with Anara Bayanova. She won via second-round TKO after which she won 2 more fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships to achieve a record of 3-0. Shevchenko was forced to take a absence from MMA and devoted her time to kickboxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 with Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa by unanimous decision before she fought Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. After leaving the league in 2018, Shevchenko joined Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko battled Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina utilized her fighting abilities to TKO Nievera in the clinch with knees and body. Antonina's UFC contract was renewed after this win. Antonina Shevchenko was able to make her UFC debut at TUF Heavy Hitters Finale against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modeafferi by an unanimous decision. She then fell in her second fight due to a split verdict. Antonina bounced right back after her loss and beat Lucie Pudddilova at UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submissions in the 2nd round. The fight was awarded Antonina the prize of Fight of The Night. Shevchenko won her first three bouts, but lost them to Katlyn Cahookagian Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina was recently defeated by Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
